How is it different?
Why Traditional Treatments Use Formaldehyde.
Traditional Brazillian Kertain treatments rely on formaldehyde, or chemicals that release formaldehyde when heated, to create a cross link reaction that holds kertain proteins against the hair shaft. The heat activates the formaldehyde, which bonds the kertain to the cuticle. This works, but it is toxic: it releases harmful fumes, irritates eyes and airways, and is classfied as a carcinogen by regulatory health bodies. It also cannont be used safely on blonde, bleached or sensitised hair.
How NanoPro Achieves Smoothing Without it.
BKT NanoPro achieves its results through a completely different chemistry. Instead of using formaldehyde to bond keratin to the surface, NanoPro uses Cysteine and Cysteamine HCI to temporarily interact with the hair's natural disulfide bonds from inside the cortex.
